Diabetes Program Alliances Attendance for Diabetes Presentation
Members of MAADE and Diabetes Programs in Montana are invited to register to attend the presentations on the morning of June 3rd. Cathy Breedon, PhD, RD, CSP, FADA will provide an excellent update on Hot Topics in Nutrition for Diabetes: Beyond Blood Glucose Control.
Program Description: The standard nutrition goals for diabetes control are well-known to health care professionals working with people who have diabetes. There are a number of specific common nutritional inadequacies recognized as contributors to the development of diabetes in the U.S. These are often easy to fix, once people become aware of them. Nutrients and other substances in foods that have been found, help to delay or prevent the development of diabetes complications and certain drug/nutrient interactions are also common in this population. This presentation will help identify some specific actions that can be done to prevent diabetes and for those who have it, to make it hurt them less.
An informative fun presentation is planned as the final keynote of the conference that morning. Walt Stasinski, MEd, MPH will present What to do When You Start At 9am Sharp and End at 9pm Dull!
Cost for this 1/2 day event only is $75.00. See ticket information section to register.
